This post is a couple of days late, but i finally pulled 455 on the deadlift. I actually started out tight, and thought that i was going to have a terrible workout. All of a sudden the Absolute Pump from Paramount Supplements kicked in and was feeling super charged. I was able to pull through 445 quite easy and that’s when i decided to give 455 a go. The pull phase was alot easier than i was expecting. I did not struggle until i was at the lockout phase. It went up easy enough where I thought about trying for a second rep. Smartly, I did not attempt it. The rest of the workout went well, I was even able to get a decent lift on squats. I have to say that i am looking forward to my next lift. Working toward the next goal of 475. Working one plate at a time.

What do you do in order to keep your workouts fresh? I am in the need for a little change-up in my routines, but not sure what to do. I am still achieving gains, but finding myself beginning to get bored while working out. I had a pretty good workout today although i was the only one in the gym. It is kind of difficult to push yourself when you are alone. I have to say that i am looking forward to my deadlift workout tomorrow. Not really sure why, but thinking i am going to have a great lift.
Lifted in the Garage yesterday and actually got a decent chest workout. The only problem with lifting at home is that i do not get such a good tricep workout. I did manage to make it to the gym today for Legs and Biceps. It would be so much easier to go to the gym every day if i was seeing the gains that i would like. Back when i was competing, I was only doing bench competitions. I would like to start competing in all 3 disciplines going forward> I have only been deadlifting for a little over a year with most of that time only having 300 pounds to work with. I have recently(within the last month) began squatting. I am waiting until atleast April to max out in all three areas in order to see what my total would be. I honestly am not sure what kind of workout i need to be doing. Back in the day i would lift with 3 set of 3, but now thinking i should up that to set of 5. Not sure especially for deadlift and squat. I would love some feedback and tips on workout regiments.
Great day in the gym. Was able to pull 440 lbs on the deadlift for 2. I am getting closer to my first goal of pulling 455 lbs, which i want by the end of the month. Getting it sooner would just be icing on the cake. Had probably the best workout since tearing my chest a couple of years ago. Power shrugged 585 lbs and boy did that burn. I do feel that my strength is coming back, and coming back a little sooner than i was expecting. Took Absolute Pump from Paramount Supplements for pre-workout and combined that with Overdose and Raptor recovery for an intraworkout, both from NRG-X labs.
Started taking absolute pump from http://www.paramount-supplements.com/ . Took a little longer than expected to kick in, but once it did i felt the increased pump and energy. I only had a short time in the gym but felt like i was able to get a really strong workout. Going to increase the amount that i take starting monday of next week to hopefully get another bump in surge and power. Feeling stronger in the gym but also thinning out. I have lost a couple of pounds over the last two weeks. Planning on lifting for a max either the end of the month or the beginning of April.
Quick and light Chest workout yesterday and the same today for Legs. Focused on form with the squat for the first time in quite a while. Waiting until Wed/Thur to try out a new supplement(Absolute Pump)from Paramount supplements. I wanted to just stretch the muscle between the past two days without taking a day off. I seem to lose strength quickly when I take too many days off in between days. Looking forward to two great days in the gym with what should be a strong pump. Will let you all know what I think.
Almost pulled 455 today on the deadlift. I thought today was the day. Had it off the ground, but could not finish the pull to the knee. I am getting closer, but it seems the closer i get the more frustrated i get. I still have time to make my goal of pulling it by the end of the month. My lower back is not as strong as i need it to be. I’ve go to start strengthening and training it more than i have been. I need some other techniques or training tips. Still waiting on some ideas.
- Another Chest/Tricep day. It started out rough. After waking up at 3 a.m, working 11 hours then going to the gym it was hard to get upbeat and motivated. After bench, my work0ut took off and actually turned out to be a decent day in the gym. Added lockouts and floor press into my routine today for the first time in about three years. I can tell already that my tris are going to be in rough shape tomorrow. I need to begin stretching before and after training. Does anyone know of any upcoming meets later in the summer. I would love to enter one after training for a couple of months of course. Tomorrow is going to be a first in a long time as well. Going to add squat in to the mix. Have to say that i am a little aprehensive about it.
After a day off I had a decent shoulder/back workout. It seems strange to be back in a gym after lifting out of my garage for so long. Actually having access to the proper equipment makes such a difference, not only in my workout but in my outlook. I feel better about my workouts after leaving the gym than I did after lifting at home. My chest is still a little sore after Day one, but I am still looking forward to a good workout tomorrow. Gonna work the chest with lighter weight and kill the biceps. Every other workout for a category is going to switch which area I target hard-core and give the other a good workout with lighter weight. This use to be the best way for me to get my strength gains the quickest.
Legs are tight after a strong deadlift day. Repping out with 430 with little rest amounts to a good day in the gym. Needing to work on my initial pull to begin. It feels a little rigid and tense from the start, but fluid once i was able to lock out the first rep. I have not been deadlifting for long, but feel that i am getting strong gains. Looking forward to some feedback or insight into workouts or techniques that will help to add pounds quicker. Biceps went well today, with shoulders coming in with a high rep low weight day. Using the first week to try to gauge my weight so that i can dig in hard next week. Still looking for a 455 pound pull. Hopefully by the end of March. Any suggestions
